The CCEA has approved the scaling up of the budget for the implementation of grid-connected rooftop systems from Rs 6 billion to Rs 50 billion over a period of five years up to 2019-20 under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. The approved budget would support the installation of 4,200 MW of solar rooftop projects in the residential, government, social and institutional sectors.
