Air India Express may register Rs 2.5 billion profit in FY16

Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, is expected to report a profit of Rs 2.5 billion in 2015-16, against a loss of Rs 610 million in 2014-15, on the back of higher aircraft utilisation, increased operational efficiency and a decrease in jet fuel prices. Operating profits are pegged at over Rs 6 billion and revenue is expected to increase by 8 per cent to Rs 28 billion in 2015-16.
