Maharashtra launches initiative to make Mumbai-Pune expressway a zero-fatality corridor

The Maharashtra government has launched a road safety initiative to make the 95 km Mumbai-Pune expressway a zero-fatality corridor in the next five years. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation has signed an MoU with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited and the SaveLIFE Foundation to reduce the average of 130 deaths per year due to accidents on the expressway.
