The MoRTH has announced the formation of an empowered group of state transport ministers to give advice on policy issues to make the transport sector more efficient and transparent. Several state road transport corporations incur huge losses; hence, an integrated approach needs to be developed. In the coming years, the MoRTH plans to increase the total length of national highways to 200,000 km.
