Bharti Infratel is said to be in talks to acquire Tower Vision India. The latter is owned by a group of financial investors and has about 8,500 towers in India, with a tenancy ratio of 1.8. The deal is likely to be valued at Rs 40 billion, including debt of around Rs 10 billion. Tower Vision has an annual turnover of about Rs 10 billion with an operating margin of 25 per cent. The move is part of Bharti Infratel’s plans to increase its tower footprint in the country which would help the company meet the rising demand for 3G and 4G services.
