The West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission has signed an MoU with the Korea Electric Power Corporation to undertake a feasibility study for reducing distribution losses of state discoms. The report is likely to be submitted by December 2016. Besides this, the commission also plans to conduct a study for the implementation of HVDS and smart metering projects in the state.
