The Kerala government has withdrawn the in-principle approval granted for the development of the Aranmula International Airport. The formal notification to be issued for revoking the in-principle approval is currently awaiting sanction from the law department and the cabinet. The state government has already issued a notification to cancel the declaration of the 500 acres of land notified as an industrial area for project development. Farming will resume on the land starting November 2016.
