GMR Airports Limited has won the contract for the development and operation of the greenfield Mopa International Airport project in Goa. The letter of award (LoA) is likely to be issued by October 2016 while the concession agreement is likely to be signed within 45 days from the date of the LoA issuance. The foundation stone for the project is expected to be laid by end-September 2016 and work is likely to commence by November 2016. The project is likely to be commissioned in March 2019.
