Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) has initiated the process for the sale of the 2,650 MW Chhabra TPP at Baran in Rajasthan. The project entailing an estimated cost of Rs 140 billion comprises four operational 250 MW units and two 660 MW units under construction. The pre-bid meeting organised by RRVUNL witnessed participation by NTPC Limited, Adani Power Limited and JSW Energy Limited, as well as a JV of Tata Power Company Limited, ICICI Ventures and Macquarie Group Limited.
