Centre to give Noida metro Rs 10 billion as cabinet gives nod

The Union cabinet has approved the release of the centre’s equity of Rs 10 billion for the 29.7 km Aqua line connecting Noida and Greater Noida, which has been targeted for completion by the end of the year. The amount, which is about 20 per cent of the total cost of Rs 55.03 billion, will be released to the Noida Metro Rail Corporation in phases, the first of which will be by August this year.
