The central government has laid the foundation stone for eight connectivity projects worth Rs 11.17 billion at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT). The projects comprise an integrated common rail yard facility at JNPT (Rs 2.5 billion), railway connectivity with the fourth container terminal (Rs 1 billion), Jasai-JNPT third railway line project (Rs 1.5 billion), construction of a flyover at North Gate (Rs 1.27 billion), integrated centralised parking for tractor-trailers (Rs 1.49 billion), construction of a coastal berth (Rs 1.42 billion), construction of a flyover at Y-junction (Rs 829.5 million) and the restructuring of the shallow water berth yard (Rs 1.15 billion).
