The Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) will provide financial assistance of Rs 600.63 billion and Rs 256.6 billion to Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited and Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited respectively. The financial assistance is subject to the appraisal of proposals to be submitted by the respective entities to REC. The MoUs signed by REC with both the entities are non-binding in nature.
