The MoR has taken a number of passenger initiatives. These include the provision of Wi-Fi at Sambalpur and Vizianagaram stations; the launch of the Bhopal-Khajuraho Mahamana Intercity Express (daily) and the Bhubaneswar-Krishnarajapuram Humsafar Express (weekly); RailCloud, a cloud computing system aimed at achieving a single digital platform for Indian Railways; the NIVARAN-Grievance Portal, aimed at resolving service-related grievances of current and former railway employees; and the Cashless Treatment Scheme in Emergency, a scheme aimed at providing healthcare facilities to retired railway employees and their dependent family members. Further, the MoR has launched five halt stations between Quazigund and Baramulla – Sangdan (Quazigund-Sadura section), Monghall (Sadura-Anantnag section), Ratnipora (Awantipura-Kakapora section), and Nadigam and Razwan stations (Budgam-Mazhom section) on the Baramulla-Qazigundrail section – in the Kashmir Valley to better cater to the transportation needs of the residents living in the region.
