The Karnataka government has inaugurated water supply and drainage projects in the city of Bidar. It commissioned Phase I of the 24×7 drinking water supply project, which has been implemented at a cost of Rs 420 million. The government has also commissioned an underground drainage (UGD) project and a water purifying unit developed in the city at a total cost of Rs 580 million. Meanwhile, the government has laid the foundation stone for another UGD project for the city, which is expected to cost Rs 1.75 billion.
