Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has quoted the lowest bid of Rs 2,722 per single-phase smart meter for Energy Efficiency Services Limited’s (EESL) mega tender for the procurement of 5 million smart meters. The meters will be installed in the states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh over a period of three years. The price quoted by L&T is 40-50 per cent lower than the current market rates. Meanwhile, Genus Power and KEONICS emerged as the second and third lowest bidders.
