Maharashtra cabinet approves implementation of Sagarmala with a 50 per cent cost sharing

The Maharashtra state cabinet has approved the implementation of the Sagarmala programme with a 50 per cent cost sharing by the state. The state cabinet has decided to make a provision for funds amounting to Rs 359 million for roll-on, roll-off jetties in Bhayandar, Kharwadeshwari, Malvan, Gorai, Vasai, Narangi, Manori and Ghodbandar. It has also decided to send 23 work proposals amounting to Rs 3,833.7 million, which are to be undertaken by the Maharashtra Maritime Board under Sagarmala, to the central government.
