Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has awarded the contract for the construction of a new ship repair facility at the Cochin Port Trust to Simplex Infrastructures Limited. The contract value is Rs 6.1 billion. The new repair facility comprises a ship lift, transfer system and allied facilities. The ship lift is designed for vessels with a length of as much as 130 metres and has a lifting capacity of 6,000 tonnes.
