The Greenko Group has raised Rs 30 billion from 10-year rupee-denominated bonds through 10 special purpose vehicles. The bonds offer a semi-annual interest rate of 8.75 per cent and will be used to develop a 500 MW solar power project in Andhra Pradesh. Separately, the company is also reportedly eyeing the acquisition of the 110 MW Chuzachen plant, a hydroelectric project of Gati Infrastructure Private Limited located in east Sikkim. The company is exploring the prospect so as to become an integrated energy company.
