MTNL seeks 4G spectrum from DoT

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has submitted a proposal to DoT seeking allotment of 4G spectrum in two bands and has offered its equity in return. The bands under consideration are the 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz bands, on which the operator can roll out 4G services and strengthen its portfolio. MTNL is seeking 10 MHz in Delhi in the 1800 MHz band and 5 MHz in Mumbai in the 2100 MHz band.
