Telecom Commission approves TRAI’s recommendations on in-flight connectivity

The Telecom Commission has approved the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) recommendations for offering voice and data services on flights within the Indian airspace. To this end, a framework to give in-flight connectivity licences will soon be created, after which licence holders and airlines will be able to offer the service to consumers. This could take about three months.
