The Delhi Pollution Control Committee has notified the list of fuels approved for use in Delhi. The list includes fuels such as BS-VI petrol and diesel, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied petroleum gas, aviation turbine fuel and biogas. Other fuels in the list include firewood for crematoriums, wood charcoal for tandoors, grills and ironing, and refuse-derived fuels for waste-to-energy plants. Coal with sulphur content lower than 0.4 per cent only can be used in thermal power plants.
