Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited has conducted trial runs on the 3 km long Central Park-Salt Lake Sector V section of the Kolkata metro East-West Line. Passenger services are expected to commence by October 2018. The East-West Line will span 16.6 km from Salt Lake, Sector V to Howrah Maidan. It will cover three stations – Central Park, Karunamoyee and Salt Lake, Sector V.
