MoS allows foreign ships to transport fertilisers between Indian ports without licence

The Ministry of Shipping has allowed foreign flag ships to transport fertilisers between Indian ports without a licence. The cabotage relaxation granted to foreign flag ships for carrying fertilisers specified in the Indian Trade Classification, Harmonised System of the Director General of Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry along local routes is conditional on the commodity accounting for at least 50 per cent of the total cargo on board the ship.
