Production for crude oil and natural gas started to decline after 2011-12 due to a significant fall in production from the Krishna Godavari basin
Consumption of crude oil in India has shown a constant increase over the past two decades, while natural gas consumption declined post 2011 due to significantly high prices, before recovering in 2015 when prices began to stabilise.
