DSF Round II bids received

Under the second round of DSF auctions, a total of 39 firms have submitted bids. These comprise five public sector undertakings (PSUs), 28 private firms and six foreign companies. Of the total 145 bids received, 103 were received for onland contract areas and 42 bids were received for offshore contract areas. Vedanta Limited has submitted bids for 21 DSFs, the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation submitted bids for 10 blocks, while Oil India Limited submitted bids for 10 blocks, including two in a tie-up with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and GAIL (India) Limited. Also, Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited submitted bids for five blocks, including two in partnership with Indian Oil Limited. Besides, private players that submitted bids include Sun Petrochemicals, Hindustan Oil Exploration Company, Nippon Power, Haryana City Gas Distribution, Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production, and Oilmax Energy.
