Uttar Pradesh government approves construction of Ganga Expressway

The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the construction of the Ganga Expressway, which will connect Meerut in western Uttar Pradesh to Prayagraj in the east. The Ganga Expressway will span across Meerut, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Kannauj, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Pratapgarh and terminate at Prayagraj. Spanning a length of 600 km, the expressway will require 6,550 hectares of land. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 360 billion.
