Ameerpet–Hi-Tec  City stretch of Hyderabad metro inaugurated

The 10 km stretch of the Hyderabad metro rail between Ameerpet and Hi-Tec City was inaugurated on March 20, 2019. With this, the Hyderabad metro has become operational on 56 km of its planned 72 km elevated length, making it the country’s second largest metro rail network, next only to the Delhi metro. The stretch which forms a part of Corridor III with nine stations will establish connectivity to highly congested IT/ITeS service areas of Hi-Tec City, Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, etc. The Hyderabad metro rail project is the largest metro project in the public-private partnership mode with a cost of Rs 141.32 billion and is being built by L&T.
