A group of global investors including Beijing-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Germany’s Deutsche Investitions-und Entwicklungsgesellschaft, the International Finance Corporation and India’s HEG Group have invested in an InvIT formed by Oriental Structural Engineers Private Limited (OSEPL). Reportedly, OSEPL has raised Rs 23 billion through an offer of units that opened on June 10, 2019. OSEPL, which is the sponsor of the InvIT, will hold 60 per cent of the units in it. The company’s InvIT consists of five highway projects – the Nagpur bypass project, the Indore-Khalghat project, the Etawah-Chakeri project, the Hungund-Hospet project and the Nagpur-Betul project. Taken together, these highway projects span a total length of 2,804 lane km, and recorded combined revenue of Rs 17 billion during 2018-19.
