DFCCIL to invite bids for procurement of plant and equipment

Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) is expected to invite bids for the procurement of plant and equipment for maintenance of railway track and electric overhead equipment (OHE) for the dedicated freight corridor (DFC) project (western corridor) in May 2016. The bidders are likely to be given 90 days to submit bids. For participating in the bidding process, the primary contractor would be from Japan. In the case of a JV/consortium, the lead partner would be from Japan and the other partners would be Japanese and/or Indian, with the total share of Japanese partners required to be over 50 per cent.
