Telenor India has commercially deployed Huawei’s GSM solution in 28 cities across six operating circles. The technology implementation is part of the operator’s initiative which involves the modernisation of 25,000 network sites. The solution uses global positioning system-based synchronisation and automated interference management based on real-time network measurement. This enables additional capacity utilisation for the spectrum refarming process. Telenor is investing Rs 12 billion in this ambitious modernisation programme.
